Approach

I offer psychotherapy, counselling and EMDR on a variety of issues including:​

  • Depression

  • Stress, anxiety and panic

  • Shame and low self esteem

  • Complex childhood trauma

  • Traumatic experiences across the lifecourse

  • Relationships

  • Work related difficulties and burnout

  • Loss and bereavement

  • Loss of identity, life transitions and crises

How we work will depend on who you are and what's happening for you at this moment.

Sometimes its important to explore the past and its impact on today, and sometimes our work is to find ways to live with some of the existential challenges of ‘being human’.

 

Working creatively with the unconscious, perhaps using images or stories- can strengthen your connections with the deeper parts of yourself. And a vital part of therapy can be grounding your experiences in your body: learning to collaborate with you body and listen to your felt sense of the world.  

 

We might find that we explore the meaning behind the symptoms that have brought you to therapy. What if instead of trying to get rid of the symptoms, we listened to them, heard their stories, found a way to honour them? This is soul work, a rich and deep process and it can be hard to put words to it. It might feel that somehow over time you become more like yourself.

Sessions are in-person in Norwich city centre, by telephone, or online using Zoom.
